The company serves healthcare, grocery, prison, retail food service, education, and hospitality sectors, as well as food distributors, convention centers, hotels, restaurants, stadiums, municipalities and academic institutions, and stadiums. As of December 31, 2020, it owned and operated 1,470 funeral service locations; and 483 cemeteries, including 297 funeral service/cemetery combination locations covering 44 states, eight Canadian provinces, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. The company was incorporated in 1962 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
