The company sells screen printing films, emulsions, and inkjet receptive films, photo resistant films, art supplies, glass, and related abrasive etching equipment to end users and distributors. It also provides sound deadening and weight reduction technology to the aerospace and electronics industries; products and services for etched composites, ceramics, glass, and silicon wafers; and digital texturing technology for putting patterns and textures into steel molds for the plastic injection molding and prototyping. IKONICS Corporation markets and sells its products directly, as well as through domestic and international distributors, magazine advertising, trade shows, and the internet. The company was formerly known as The Chromaline Corporation and changed its name to IKONICS Corporation in December 2002. IKONICS Corporation was founded in 1952 and is based in Duluth, Minnesota.

The Specialty Products segment offers beverage packaging equipment and consumables, product coding and marking equipment and consumables, and appliance components and fasteners. It serves the automotive OEM/tiers, commercial food equipment, construction, general industrial, and automotive aftermarket end markets. The company distributes its products directly to industrial manufacturers, as well as through independent distributors. Illinois Tool Works Inc. was founded in 1912 and is headquartered in Glenview, Illinois.
