- Simplify medical terminology: The portal can translate terms like "hypertensive heart disease" into easy-to-understand language.
- Prepare for doctor visits: After reviewing lab results, patients can ask questions such as, "My glucose level is up, could that be related to my recent prescription changes?" Or "I am concerned about my blood pressure, what should I ask my doctor about medications and lifestyle changes?"
- Draft messages: The portal can aid patients in creating clear and relevant questions to send to their clinician through the Oracle Health Patient Portal's secure message center.
