3D Systems And Precision Resource Team Up For Advanced Manufacturing Solutions
3D Systems (NYSE:DDD) and Precision Resource have formed a strategic partnership to enhance additive manufacturing. Precision Resource will integrate two 3D Systems DMP Flex 350 Dual 3D printers into its Huntington Beach facility, expanding its precision metal forming capabilities and entering new markets.
Engineers from 3D Systems’ Application Innovation Group (AIG) and Precision Resource collaborated to develop an efficient, end-to-end manufacturing solution. Combining 3D Systems’ DMP technology with Precision Resource’s finishing capabilities results in a manufacturing process for high-criticality AM parts, addressing performance needs and resolving supply chain issues through vertical integration.
3D Systems’ DMP Flex 350 platform enhances production with quick-swap build modules, rapid powder recycling, and a central server for 24/7 productivity. Its vacuum chamber ensures high oxygen purity, resulting in strong, pure parts. The integrated 3DXpert software streamlines the entire manufacturing workflow.
“Bringing together the industry-leading technology and applications expertise of 3D Systems and Precision Resource will deliver increased quality, improved total cost of ownership, reduced time to market, and minimized supply chain disruption. I’m looking forward to seeing how our collaboration can amplify and accelerate the potential of metal AM,” commented Jeph Ruppert, vice president of technical business development at 3D Systems.
