Sir Pangalos was the Executive Vice President of BioPharmaceuticals R&D at AstraZeneca. He joins Absci as the company scales its AI-enabled portfolio of partnered and wholly-owned assets.

An internationally acclaimed expert in neuroscience and drug development, Sir Pangalos has authored more than 150 peer-reviewed scientific publications. His contributions to UK science earned him a knighthood from Her Majesty The Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
