Argan Reports Strong Earnings, Joins Geron, Planet Labs PBC And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Friday
U.S. stocks were mixed, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 0.1% on Friday.
Shares of Argan, Inc. (NYSE:AGX) rose sharply during Friday's session after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results.
Argan posted quarterly earnings of 58 cents per share, beating market estimates of 52 cents per share. The company's quarterly sales came in at $157.68 million versus expectations of $134.75 million, according to data from Benzinga Pro.
Argan shares climbed 11.1% to $76.78 on Thursday.

- SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ:SPWR) shares jumped 18.8% to $4.11.
- Oddity Tech Ltd. (NASDAQ:ODD) rose 18.3% to $43.49 after the company approved a share buyback and raised its Q2 guidance.
- Yext, Inc. (NYSE:YEXT) climbed 14.7% to $5.42. Yext is said to hire investment bankers to explore strategic alternatives, including a sale, Reuters reported.
- Planet Labs PBC (NYSE:PL) climbed 9.6% to $1.9950 following better-than-expected quarterly earnings.
- Limoneira Company (NASDAQ:LMNR) gained 9.4% to $22.27 as the company reported financial results for the second quarter ended April 30, 2024.
- Esperion Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:ESPR) gained 8.7% to $2.6850.
- Waldencast plc (NASDAQ:WALD) rose 8.6% to $4.77.
- NWTN Inc. (NASDAQ:NWTN) climbed 8.5% to $2.17.
- Dave Inc. (NASDAQ:DAVE) gained 7.8% to $39.57. B. Riley Securities analyst Hal Goetsch initiated coverage on Dave with a Buy rating and announced a price target of $60.
