On May 8, 2024, Backblaze, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing its financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2024. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.

Item 5.02 Departure of Directors of Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal officers

On May 8, 2024, the Company announced that Frank Patchel, Chief Financial Officer, is intending to retire from the Company later in 2024 following the hiring and onboarding of his replacement. The Company is conducting a search for Mr. Patchel's replacement. Mr. Patchel is expected to continue in his current role until such time as a replacement Chief Financial Officer is appointed and to help ensure a smooth transition.
