Building a Brighter Future: Toyota Invests in Childcare Centers for Manufacturing Team Members
PLANO, Texas, Aug. 12, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Toyota is taking bold steps to support working parents as the company adds four, all-new childcare centers across its manufacturing footprint. New centers will serve parents at Toyota North Carolina, Toyota Mississippi, Toyota Alabama and Toyota West Virginia, building upon two existing childcare facilities for Toyota's Kentucky and Indiana plants.
Each of the new childcare centers is being developed in collaboration with third party, high-quality childcare providers and will align with plant production schedules, helping to ensure that team members can balance work and family responsibilities.

Coming Soon: New Learning Centers in North Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama and West Virginia
Two of the new centers at Toyota's manufacturing sites will begin caring for children this year and all four centers will open by 2027.
- Toyota North Carolina, Liberty, N.C., opened in August 2025 and will care for up to 312 children over two shifts.
- Toyota Mississippi, Blue Springs, Miss., opens in fall 2025 and will care for up to 238 children over two shifts.
- Toyota Alabama, Huntsville, Ala., opens in 2026 and will care for up to 274 children over two shifts.
- Toyota West Virginia, Buffalo, W.Va., opens by 2027 and will care for up to 240 children over two shifts.
All centers will introduce an age-based curriculum for children six-weeks to five-years, promoting learning through motor development, as well as physical, cognitive and social-emotional growth. They will be equipped with a commercial kitchen, STEM room, movement matters space and an outdoor playground.
A History of Empowering Young Minds at Toyota Indiana and Toyota Kentucky
Toyota has offered onsite, 24-hour-a-day care at its largest global site, in Georgetown, Ky., since 1993. The facility provides around-the-clock care for more than 270 children and has welcomed thousands of team members' children since its opening.
Toyota Indiana opened its childcare center in 2003 and is undergoing an expansion that will be completed in September 2025. With the addition, the facility will accommodate up to 366 children over two shifts.

All sites will go through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation process which establishes standards for quality childcare programs.
Beyond onsite childcare centers, Toyota also offers benefits through Bright Horizons. Their services help employees find ongoing childcare, make plans for known and unexpected gaps, or arrange temporary care for family members.
