Explanation of Responses:

1. The reported transaction involved the reporting person's receipt of a grant of 28,195 time-vested restricted stock units ("RSUs") under First Foundation Inc.'s 2024 Equity Incentive Plan. Each RSU represents a contingent right to receive one share of the registrant's common stock.

2. The reported transaction involved the reporting person's receipt of a grant of a maximum of 42,293 performance-vested RSUs under First Foundation Inc.'s 2024 Equity Incentive Plan. A maximum of one-half of these RSUs may vest on each of the one and two year anniversaries of the grant date, in each case subject to continuous employment and subject to the achievement of certain performance criteria and strategic goals during each such one year period.
