Crescent Capital Group Appoints Jason Breaux as Head of Private Credit
Crescent Capital Group LP, a leading alternative credit investment firm, announced today the appointment of Jason Breaux as Head of Private Credit. In this role, Mr. Breaux will lead the firm's private credit business and will focus on platform-wide growth, expanding investment capabilities, and continuing to elevate the Crescent brand. Mr. Breaux will continue in his roles as Chief Executive Officer of Crescent Capital BDC, Inc. (NASDAQ:CCAP) and Chair of the Board of Crescent Private Credit Income Corp. (CPCI). He will report to Christopher Wright, President of Crescent, who will remain focused on leading the firm's overall strategic direction, executing its long-term growth objectives, supporting key client and partner relationships, and continuing in his role as a member of Crescent's Investment Committees.
Mr. Breaux brings more than 24 years of investment experience at Crescent, along with deep institutional knowledge and a proven track record in launching and managing registered, cross-platform funds. Since 2015, he has served as Chief Executive Officer of CCAP, Crescent's publicly traded BDC, which has nearly doubled in size since listing on NASDAQ in 2020. In 2023, Mr. Breaux was instrumental in the launch of CPCI, Crescent's continuously offered non-traded BDC, which is expected to grow meaningfully over the coming quarters.
"Jason's appointment marks another step in an exciting new chapter for Crescent and our continued evolution. We're incredibly proud to see one of our own—someone who embodies our core values and has grown within the firm—step into this leadership role. Working closely with Chris and the rest of our strong leadership team, Jason's deep expertise in credit, combined with a clear vision for the future, ensures that Crescent remains well-positioned at this pivotal moment for both our firm and the rapidly expanding private credit market," said Mark Attanasio and Jean-Marc Chapus, Co-Founders and Managing Partners of Crescent.
"Jason has been an integral part of Crescent for many years, consistently demonstrating strong leadership and strategic vision. His instrumental role in the launch and growth of both CCAP and CPCI reflects both his deep expertise and ability to drive results," said Mr. Wright. "We are confident that his proven track record and commitment to collaboration will be a tremendous asset as Head of Private Credit at Crescent."
"It's been a privilege to be part of Crescent for so many years and to contribute to its growth and success alongside such a talented and dedicated team. I'm honored to take on this new role at a time of continued expansion for both the firm and the private credit market. With Crescent's strong foundation and deep history in credit, I'm excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to building on our momentum in the years to come," said Mr. Breaux.
