Danaher Posts Upbeat Earnings, Joins Spotify, MSCI, Owens & Minor And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Tuesday

U.S. stocks were mixed, with the Dow Jones index falling around 50 points on Tuesday.

Shares of Danaher Corporation (NYSE:DHR) rose sharply during Tuesday's session after the company reported better-than-expected second quarter earnings.

Danaher's second quarter sales decreased 3% year-over-year to $5.743 billion, beating the consensus of $5.59 billion. Danaher reported second-quarter adjusted EPS of $1.72, beating the consensus of $1.57, according to data from Benzinga Pro.

Danaher shares gained 7.4% to $269.35 on Tuesday.

• Iridium Communications Inc. (NASDAQ:IRDM) rose 8.5% to $28.11 after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter EPS results.
