On November 12, 2021, DURECT Corporation issued a press release announcing the presentation of data at the American Association for The Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) The Liver Meeting® 2021 showcasing an increase of hospitalizations for alcohol-associated hepatitis (AH) in the U.S. of approximately 19% (from 110,085 in 2015 to 131,510 in 2018) or approximately 4.8% per year between 2015 and 2018. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K and incorporated herein by reference.
