1. Represents award granted pursuant to the terms of the W. R. Berkley Corporation 2009 Directors Stock Plan, as amended and restated.

2. Includes 7,618,901 shares of common stock underlying Restricted Stock Units ("RSUs"), all of which have vested (the receipt of which has been deferred) and does not include shares of common stock underlying unvested performance-based RSUs.

3. Mr. William R. Berkley, Jr. is the manager of the limited liability company. Mr. William R. Berkley and certain family trusts are the owners of the limited liability company as set forth in the Schedule 13D/A dated March 5, 2026.

4. Mr. William R. Berkley's wife is the trustee of this trust and Mr. William R. Berkley disclaims beneficial ownership of these shares.
