Dr. Shepherd brings nearly twenty years of clinical experience in obstetrics, gynecology, and surgery to Hims & Hers. A board-certified OB/GYN, Dr. Shepherd has spent her career focused on areas of women's health including endometriosis, fibroids, sexual health, menopausal health, and healthcare disparities for women. She is a leading voice in raising awareness of the importance of women's access to care that addresses their individual experiences at every life stage. She received her MD from Ross University School of Medicine and her MBA from University of Louisville. She was also previously the Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Women's health as a subject matter is chronically under-researched and neglected, even though women outnumber men in the US. 17% of women felt they were treated differently due to their sex when only 6% of men felt similarly. Hims & Hers seeks to bridge that gap by providing access to personalized care for women that is easy to access and affordable. Women can access care in categories across weight loss, sexual health, dermatology, and mental health, and Hers plans to expand in the coming years with access to treatment for more specific conditions associated with life stages like menopause and post-partum.
