EXPLANATORY NOTE
This Current Report on Form 8-K/A amends the Current Report on Form 8-K filed by HomeStreet, Inc. (the “Company”) with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) on April 24, 2023 (the “Original 8-K”). The Original 8-K furnished a first quarter 2023 slide presentation that executive management intends to use in meetings with institutional investors, which was attached as Exhibit 99.1 to the Original 8-K.

On May 4, 2023, the Company provided an updated first quarter 2023 slide presentation that executive management intends to use in meetings with institutional investors and industry analysts. This presentation provides an update of the slide presentation filed on a Form 8-K on April 24, 2023. Items updated include additional information, changes in terminology and the correction of the following clerical error. On slide 8 of the slide presentation the bullet “As a percentage of our deposit portfolio, our top ten customers make up 1.9% of our total deposit balances” was corrected to “As a percentage of our deposit portfolio, our top ten customers make up only 4.2% of our total deposit balances.”
