Explanation of Responses:

1. On August 9, 2023, Empire Petroleum Corporation ("Empire") acquired a one-year option to acquire certain oil and gas working interests owned by a subsidiary of the reporting person (the "Purchase Option"). In exchange for Empire exercising its right to extend the Purchase Option for an additional one-year period, Empire issued to the reporting person 16,800 shares of common stock valued at $71,400 (or $4.25 per share).
