Section 8 – Other Events
Item 8.01 Other Events.
On October 8, 2024, an order granting a motion for final judgment (the “Final Judgment”) was entered into in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas in connection with a patent infringement lawsuit (the “Lawsuit”) filed by Paltalk Holdings, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Paltalk, Inc. (the “Company”), against Cisco Systems, Inc. (“Cisco”).
As previously disclosed, on August 29, 2024, the jury awarded the Company $65.7 million (the “Award”) in connection with the Lawsuit. The Final Judgment was entered in favor of the Company in the amount of the Award.
On October 11, 2024, the Company issued a press release announcing the entry of the Final Judgment in connection with the Award. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
