Item 8.01 Other Events

On May 15, 2025, Louisville Gas and Electric Company ("LG&E") and Kentucky Utilities Company ("KU", and collectively with LG&E, the "Companies") announced that they anticipate filing requests with the Kentucky Public Service Commission ("KPSC") on or after May 30, 2025 for increases in annual electricity revenues at LG&E and KU and annual gas revenues at LG&E.

The anticipated applications request an increase in annual electricity revenues of approximately $105 million and $226 million at LG&E and KU, respectively, and an increase in annual gas revenues of approximately $60 million at LG&E. The proposed revenue increases would be an increase of 8.3% and 11.5% in electricity revenues at LG&E and KU, respectively, and an increase of 14.0% in gas revenues at LG&E.

The applications will be based on a forecasted test year of January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026 and a requested authorized return-on-equity of 10.95%. Subject to KPSC approval, the requested rates would become effective on January 1, 2026.

The Companies cannot predict the outcome of the proceedings. The Companies anticipate a ruling from the KPSC during the fourth quarter of 2025.

The KPSC proceedings have been designated as Case No. 2025-00114 for LG&E and Case No. 2025-00113 for KU.
