Total revenues were $5.1 billion in the second quarter of 2024, compared with $5.2 billion in the second quarter of 2023. Net earnings were $1.8 billion, or $3.10 per diluted share, compared with $1.6 billion, or $2.71 per diluted share a year ago. Net earnings in the second quarter of 2024 included net investment gains of $696 million, or $1.23 per diluted share, compared with net investment gains of $555 million, or $0.92 per diluted share a year ago.
