Subject line: An exciting Rover milestone
Today is an exciting day for Rover. This morning, we announced a new milestone that will allow us to invest even more in our growth, recovery, and mission: We’re officially taking the next step toward becoming a public company by entering into a merger agreement with Nebula Caravel Acquisition Corporation, a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) that enables Rover to become a public company more efficiently than a traditional IPO.
We wanted to share this good news with you directly. It’s important to note that this deal hasn’t closed yet (it’s still subject to a number of key steps). Our focus remains, as it’s always been, on serving our community. When this process is complete, Rover will still be Rover: our values, commitment to our community, and mission remain the same. But we’ll be able to do even more to make it easier for everyone to experience the unconditional love of a pet. It’s a mission we share with our sitter community, and one that feels particularly important today, during a difficult era when people need that love more than ever.
There’s no action you need to take. Because this process is still in-motion, we ask that you avoid public speculation on the ongoing process outside of the press release.
As we look ahead to recovery and growth, I’m filled with gratitude for our remarkable community. Time and again, pet sitters and dog walkers like you go above and beyond for pets and the people who love them. It continues to be our honor to help you build your business. We’re looking forward to all that’s to come as we continue on this journey together. Thank you for your passion for pets and your commitment to offering trusted, loving pet care on Rover.
All the best,
Aaron Easterly
