Explanation of Responses:

1. Includes shares of restricted stock granted pursuant to the Brookline Bancorp, Inc. 2021 Stock Option and Incentive Plan.

2. Reflects dividend reinvestment plan allocations.

3. The Reporting person's Form 3 (filed on January 10, 2023) incorrectly reported 9,152 shares as being indirectly held by his IRA. These 9,152 shares were in fact held indirectly in the PCSB Bank Employee Stock Ownership Plan (the "ESOP"). The ESOP was liquidated in connection with the merger of PCSB Financial Corp. with Brookline Bancorp, Inc.
