EXPLANATORY NOTE

This registration statement on Form 8-A is being filed by J. B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc., an Arkansas corporation (the “Company”), in connection with the dual listing of the Company’s common stock, par value $0.01 per share (the “Common Stock”), with Nasdaq Texas, LLC (“Nasdaq Texas”), under the symbol “JBHT.” The Company’s Common Stock is currently listed on the Nasdaq Global Select Market tier of The Nasdaq Stock Market LLC, under the symbol “JBHT.”

The description of the Common Stock as set forth in Exhibit 4.1 to the Company’s Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2025, filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on February 24, 2026, is incorporated herein by reference.

The Company expects the listing and trading of the Common Stock on Nasdaq Texas to commence on March 6, 2026, under the symbol “JBHT.”

Pursuant to the Instructions as to exhibits for Form 8-A, no exhibits are required to be filed because no other securities of the Company are registered on Nasdaq Texas and the securities registered hereby are not being registered pursuant to Section 12(g) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended.
