Item 8.01. Other Events.

On March 18, 2021, Newmark Group, Inc., (“Newmark” or “the Company”) issued a press release announcing that it has received approval from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware to acquire the business of Knotel, Inc. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is hereby incorporated by reference herein.
