U.S. stocks were mostly higher, with the Nasdaq Composite gaining around 0.4% on Wednesday.
Shares of SMART Global Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:SGH) rose sharply during Wednesday's session after the company reported better-than-expected third-quarter financial results.
SMART Global reported quarterly earnings of 37 cents per share, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 30 cents. Quarterly sales came in at $300.6 million, which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $300 million, according to data from Benzinga Pro.
SMART Global shares jumped 17.4% to $27.27 on Wednesday.

- Aehr Test Systems (NASDAQ:AEHR) climbed 21.4% to $15.05 after the company provided preliminary fourth-quarter and FY24 financial results.
- Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc. (NYSE:HE) gained 15.8% to $9.94.
- Gatos Silver, Inc. (NYSE:GATO) climbed 15.3% to $12.86 after the company reported second-quarter Production results with record mill throughput and zinc production.
- Endeavour Silver Corp. (NYSE:EXK) shares jumped 10.2% to $4.3801. HC Wainwright & Co. analyst Heiko Ihle reiterated Endeavour Silver with a Buy and maintained a $6.25 price target.
- MarineMax, Inc. (NYSE:HZO) climbed 9.3% to $33.18 after Island Capital issued an open letter to shareholders and made an open proposal to acquire up to 100% interest in the YMRS business from MarineMax.
