Employees Enrolled in Spectrum's Education Benefit Have a 24% Higher Promotion Rate Than

Non-Engaged Peers and 10% Higher Retention

STAMFORD, Conn., March 19, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Spectrum today announced that its Education Benefit, which covers 100% of tuition costs upfront for full-time employees pursuing select online degree and certificate programs, is driving career mobility and retention amongst its workforce since launching in August 2023. Employees enrolled in Spectrum's Education Benefit have received promotions at a rate 24% higher than non-engaged employees, and the Company retains participants at a 10% higher rate than non-participants.

More than 13,000 Spectrum employees have participated in or completed a program since the Education Benefit launched, a rate that is 8.5 times higher than the Company's legacy program. Of those participants, 68% are frontline, customer-facing U.S. employees. Spectrum's Education Benefit provides tuition-free access to nearly 300 online degree and certificate programs from 30 universities and learning providers, allowing employees to gain skills in high-demand areas, like operations management, marketing and technology, to advance their careers with Spectrum.

Spectrum previously reimbursed employees up to $10,000 per year at the college or university of their choice through its legacy program. Now, Spectrum's Education Benefit, powered by talent development company Guild, provides full-time employees with tuition-free access to hundreds of degree and certificate programs, helping them to start, continue or complete their education and develop skills for in-demand roles, without the burden of any out-of-pocket expenses.

Employees across Spectrum's 41-state service area are enrolling in courses to start or continue their education, making big strides towards their career goals. Tracy Rodriguez, a Sales Activation Specialist with Spectrum in San Antonio, Texas, is pursuing a degree in Digital Marketing from Oregon State University. A mother of five working full-time at Spectrum, she once thought higher education was out of her reach, but the Education Benefit changed that, giving her the flexibility to pursue her degree while managing work and family life. In Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Kameryn Cofield, a Field Technician, is studying for a degree in Computer Science from Purdue Global, which is helping her connect her field work to the broader tech landscape.
