Supply Wisdom® Appoints Former Endgame CEO, Nathaniel Fick, to Board of Directors
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Supply Wisdom – the leader in continuous risk intelligence – announced today the appointment of Nathaniel Fick to its Board of Directors, effective April 1, 2021, as an independent director.
"We are thrilled to welcome Nathaniel Fick to the Supply Wisdom Board," said Atul Vashistha, chairman and CEO, Supply Wisdom. "Nate is a very successful entrepreneur and business leader. His understanding and experience of scaling business comes at a critical time for us. COVID increased the recognition that companies needed to accelerate their adoption of continuous risk monitoring. As the market evangelist for continuous monitoring, we experienced an increase of 250% in our business in 2020. With the new risk and resiliency awareness of boards and senior management, we expect that growth to continue for many years. We are fortunate to have his guidance at this opportune time."
Fick brings deep expertise in security, corporate governance, and technology issues. Currently, Fick leads Elastic Security’s (NYSE: ESTC) information security business as General Manager. Before its purchase by Elastic, Fick was CEO of Endgame, which was selected by Forbes as one of the “100 Best Cloud Companies in the World.” Previously, Fick spent nearly a decade as an operating partner at Bessemer Venture Partners where he worked with management teams to build durable, high-growth businesses.
“Risk federates across supply chains, so modern risk management requires continuous, empirical analysis of all your organization's counter-parties,” said Fick. “From COVID to the Suez Canal, 2021 is already rife with examples of why enterprise resilience is so essential. Supply Wisdom is ahead of a rising global trend and I look forward to working with the team to accelerate their market leadership."
As a board member, Fick will provide strategic guidance to Supply Wisdom's executive leadership team and advise on scalability, corporate governance, security, and technology issues. Fick writes and speaks regularly on these issues and was named by Fast Company magazine as one of the “100 Most Creative People in Business.
Fick started his career as a Marine Corps infantry and reconnaissance officer, including combat tours in Afghanistan and Iraq. His book about that experience, One Bullet Away, was a New York Times bestseller, a Washington Post "Best Book of the Year," and one of the Military Times' "Best Military Books of the Decade." He is a member of the Military and Veterans Advisory Council at JPMorgan Chase & Co, an independent board director of Strategic Education, Inc. (NASDAQ: STRA), and a life member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
