Shares of Ally Financial Inc. (NYSE:ALLY) rose sharply during Thursday's session after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly financial results.
Ally Financial posted adjusted earnings of 45 cents per share, beating market estimates of 33 cents per share. The company's adjusted sales came in at $1.99 billion versus expectations of $1.96 billion.
Ally Financial shares jumped 7.7% to $39.06 on Thursday.
