Belden's Sustainability Milestones Drive Newsweek Recognition for Third Consecutive Year
Belden's continued progress toward meeting and exceeding several 2025 sustainability targets again earns it a spot on the America's Most Responsible Companies list in 2026.
Belden Inc. (NYSE:BDC), a leading global provider of complete connection solutions, is proud to announce that its sustainability initiatives have once again been recognized by Newsweek, a leading U.S. news publication.
For the third year in a row, Newsweek included Belden in its ranking of America's Most Responsible Companies, which is created every year in collaboration with Statista. In 2026, Belden was ranked No. 334.
Every year, the list recognizes 600 corporations that are leading the way in responsible business and helping create a benchmark to drive improvement and foster a culture of sustainability and integrity among U.S. corporations.
This honor is a reflection of Belden's dedication to advancing its formal sustainability program, which was established in 2021. As Belden prepares to release its 2025 Sustainability Report in Spring 2026, highlighting performance compared to long-term goals that were set for completion in 2025, the company is pleased to share that it has met or exceeded most of the original targets, including:
- Surpassing greenhouse gas emission reduction goals, achieving a reduction of 41% by the end of 2024, reaching the target a year early and well above the original target of a 25% reduction by the end of 2025.
- Expanding Great Place to Work certification to recognize Belden as an employer of choice in more than 20 countries worldwide.
- Building a strong talent pipeline by exceeding the goal to graduate more than 200 professionals from the Launch: Early Career Leadership Program and Intern Program.
- Strengthening employee wellbeing by achieving the goal of 60% of associates to participate in the Be Well wellness program.
In addition to sharing details about sustainability performance so far, Belden will also announce its next set of long-term sustainability goals in Spring 2026 as part of its 2025 Sustainability Report. This next set of goals will guide Belden's sustainability strategy through 2030.
"Being named to this list for the third year in a row reinforces that we're making real and measurable progress on our sustainability journey," said Belden Chief Legal & Risk Officer Brian Anderson. "Our progress is possible thanks to the hard work of our employees and strong guidance from our diverse board of directors. Their unique perspectives and insights help us sharpen our shared focus on improving our impact on the environment, our people and the communities where we operate."
The list was unveiled on Dec. 3, 2025, and can be viewed on Newsweek's website.
