Item 8.01. Other Events

On August 21, 2023, the Board of Directors for Finward Bancorp ("Finward"), the holding company for Peoples Bank, declared a quarterly dividend of $0.31 per share on Finward's common stock payable on October 5, 2023, to shareholders of record on September 22, 2023. On August 22, 2023, Finward issued a press release reporting the dividend. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
