GameStop, Squarespace, Incyte And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Monday
U.S. stocks were higher, with the Dow Jones gaining more than 90 points on Monday.
Shares of GameStop Corp. (NYSE:GME) rose sharply during Monday's session amid possible retail investor interest following a social media post by Roaring Kitty.
"Roaring Kitty," a.k.a Keith Gill, a social media persona whose online posts reportedly sparked a trading frenzy in the so-called ‘meme stock' in early 2021, returned on X.com (formerly Twitter) after three years. GameStop stock also gained on Friday on heavy volume as traders circulated a screenshot of The Roaring Kitty's X account showing the account liked a post from February, referencing the film, "Run, Lola, Run.
GameStop shares surged 81.6% to $31.70 on Monday.

- NWTN Inc. (NASDAQ:NWTN) rose 28.9% to $4.77.
- AMC Entertainment Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AMC) climbed 21% to $3.48.
- Beyond, Inc. (NYSE:BYON) rose 20% to $20.23. Beyond Director Joseph J Tabacco Jr acquired a total of 12,400 shares an average price of $16.01.
- Recursion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:RXRX) climbed 16.4% to $10.01. Recursion announced completion of NVIDIA-Powered BioHive-2 AI Pharma Supercomputer.
- iRobot Corporation (NASDAQ:IRBT) gained 16.4% to $13.06. iRobot, last week, reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results.
- SunPower Corporation (NASDAQ:SPWR) rose 15.7% to $2.66.
- AMC Networks Inc. (NASDAQ:AMCX) jumped 14% to $15.17. AMC Networks, last week, reported a fiscal first-quarter 2024 revenue decline of 16.9% year over year to $596.46 million, missing the analyst consensus estimate of $602.60 million.
- Lucid Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:LCID) climbed 13.7% to $3.0250.
- Nauticus Robotics, Inc. (NASDAQ:KITT) rose 13.6% to $0.1659
- Squarespace, Inc. (NYSE:SQSP) rose 13.1% to $43.21. Squarespace announced today that it has agreed to go private in a deal with global private equity firm Permira, in a transaction valued at over $6.6 billion on an equity value basis and approximately $6.9 billion on an enterprise value basis.
- ZEEKR Intelligent Technology Holding Limited (NYSE:ZK) gained 12.7% to $31.84 amid post-IPO volatility.
- Spirit Airlines, Inc. (NYSE:SAVE) gained 12.2% to $4.2650.
- Novavax Inc (NASDAQ:NVAX) climbed 12.1% to $9.95. Novavax shares jumpd 99% on Friday after the company and Sanofi announced a co-exclusive licensing agreement to commercialize a COVID-19 vaccine and develop COVID-influenza combination vaccines.
- Medical Properties Trust, Inc. (NYSE:MPW) rose 11.9% to $5.35. The company reported weak quarterly sales last week.
- QuantumScape Corporation (NYSE:QS) gained 11.2% to $6.00.
- Reddit, Inc. (NYSE:RDDT) rose 10.9% to $59.37.
- VinFast Auto Ltd. (NASDAQ:VFS) gained 10.8% to $3.35.
- NIO Inc. (NYSE:NIO) rose 10.8% to $5.62. Nio's CEO William Li has reportedly purchased a vehicle from its rival EV maker XPeng.
- Rivian Automotive, Inc. (NASDAQ:RIVN) gained 10.3% to $11.02.
- Kohl’s Corporation (NYSE:KSS) climbed 10.3% to $26.41.
- Incyte Corporation (NASDAQ:INCY) gained 9.1% to $57.91 after the company approved a $2 billion share buyback authorization.
- Upstart Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:UPST) rose 8.7% to $27.59.
- Bloom Energy Corporation (NYSE:BE) gained 8% to $12.05. Bloom Energy, last week, reported quarterly losses of 17 cents per share which missed the analyst consensus estimate of losses of 11 cents by 54.55%.
- Wayfair Inc. (NYSE:W) gained 6.9% to $75.60.
- Robinhood Markets, Inc. (NASDAQ:HOOD) climbed 6.6% to $17.30.
- JD.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:JD) rose 6.4% to $34.27.
- Groupon, Inc. (NASDAQ:GRPN) shares gained 5% to $13.60. Groupon shares jumped around 24% on Friday after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter results.
