As the effort to combine Amcor and Berry Global advances, today I’d like to share the next in our series of messages clarifying our organization as of Day One. Following the appointments of Jean-Marc Galvez, Fred Stephan and Susana Suarez, I am glad to announce all my direct reports after closing:
Michael Casamento will be the Chief Financial Officer, leveraging his extensive global experience to lead our finance and IT functions and meet our agenda of investments for growth and shareholder value creation.
David Clark will bring his operational, regulatory and technical experience to the position of Chief Sustainability Officer. He will drive forward Amcor’s sustainability strategies and policies, supporting both our sense of purpose and our ability to grow in the future.
Deborah Rasin will serve as General Counsel, leaning on her prior experience in that role at other publicly traded companies to help us ensure compliance, manage risk proactively, and seize opportunities to grow organically and via acquisition.
Tracey Whitehead will head the Investor Relations team, taking advantage of her knowledge of both the U.S. and the Australian financial markets to help investors and analysts understand the benefits of the new combined company.
Ian Wilson will lead our Strategy and Development efforts, relying on his extensive tenure in packaging and M&A to support our growth aspirations - organically and inorganically.
These leaders will join Fred, Jean-Marc and Susana as my direct reports along with Kirby Losch, who will be leading our Integration project organization.
I am also very pleased to share that Bill Norman will lead our Containers & Closures team in the Americas, reporting to Jean-Marc once the transaction closes. Bill will bring his deep experience running that business for Berry Global in North America and will expand his responsibilities with the relevant Amcor Rigid Packaging activities. Given the importance of Evansville, I wanted to share this news as early as possible.
The combined talent, experience and acumen of our leaders will be an invaluable asset to the new Amcor, but the work to set all of us up for sustained success does not stop here. In addition to defining how our organization will operate, each appointed leader will now move to build their respective teams. That includes functions such as Commercial, Research & Development, Manufacturing, and Procurement, as well as the senior business leaders reporting into the global Containers & Closures and Flexibles leads.
In the coming weeks, we will keep you informed with further details. Meanwhile, I’d like to thank you for continuing to stay safe and focused, and for taking care of our customers.
