Shows for Hosers! New Metric Media Launches YouTube Comedy Channel "shozerTV"
Lionsgate to provide initial lineup of outrageous comedies across television and film, including titles starring Will Arnett and Ryan Reynolds
New Metric Media, the award-winning independent comedy entertainment studio and 360-degree brand-marketing leader is taking the next step in its evolution with the launch of shozerTV. The new YouTube comedy channel is focused on bringing the best of Canadian and international comedy, including original and acquired scripted and unscripted series, podcasts, stand-up specials and sketch, to Canadians and the rest of the world.
shozerTV aims to fill a gap in the market by creating a hub for unpretentious, sharp comedy that appeals to hosers 18 to 40 around the globe. Along with a selection of existing original and third-party content curated for the platform, shozerTV will include digital-first originals from up-and-coming creators, taking New Metric back to its YouTube roots where Letterkenny first gained a following as LetterkennyProblems.

Along with featuring New Metric series What Would Sal Do? and Bria Mack Gets A Life at launch, Lionsgate is initially licensing more than 20 titles to shozerTV from its library of film and TV comedies, including Running Wilde starring Will Arnett, Van Wilder: Party Liaison starring Ryan Reynolds and Zack and Miri Make A Porno, starring Seth Rogen. Lionsgate is the first third-party studio to supply scripted content to shozerTV, with more partners to come.

Video podcasts will make up a key pillar of shozerTV, including the first three original New Metric titles heading into production in 2026: Legit Stupid, Dicey History, and a new podcast from Bria Mack Gets A Life creator Sasha Leigh Henry and producer Tania Thompson. The Town Show, from premium podcast studio Kelly&Kelly, now a New Metric Media company, is rolling out globally on the channel with more K&K titles landing in the coming months. A selection of New Metric's owned and original podcast titles will also be distributed, amplified and monetized by global industry giant Acast across all key podcast networks, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, and more, through a new agreement with the company.
In terms of stand-up comedy specials, shozerTV has licensed titles from Toronto-based producers Comedy Bar and Macaw Studios, starring comics such as Sandra Battaglini, Jeewan Gill, Ali Hassan, Hisham Kelati, Dave Merheje and Mike Rita. New Metric's previously announced lineup of The Eh-List stand-up specials are currently in production and slated to join the channel in 2026. Finally, sketch comedy Picnicface from Shadowpine Studios is now releasing globally.
New Metric is actively in the hunt to acquire new original, YouTube and connected-TV-first, scripted and unscripted programming for the shozerTV channel from comedy creators, along with existing comedic content from third parties.
