    NEW YORK and TOKYO, July 31, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- TNL Mediagene (NASDAQ:TNMG) (the "Company"), a Tokyo-based next-generation digital media and data group in Asia, today announces that TJ Park has been appointed as Company General Counsel and entrepreneur and investor Naoko Okumoto has been appointed to the Board of Directors as an independent director.

    TJ Park joins from the Tokyo office of the global law firm Morrison & Foerster LLP, where he gained extensive experience as a capital markets and corporate attorney. At the firm, his practice focused on cross-border capital markets, public company advisory and corporate governance, through which he supported a wide range of global clients. He possesses deep expertise in U.S. legal matters and has a distinguished track record in international capital markets. Mr. Park received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and holds B.A. degrees from the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Park has also studied abroad at Tsinghua University School of Law in Beijing.

    Naoko Okumoto is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with two decades of experience in tech investment, cross-border business development and strategic partnership management. Ms. Okumoto is the Founder and Managing Partner of NIREMIA Collective, an early-stage venture capital fund focusing on health and wellbeing technology, and CEO of Amber Bridge Partners, a cross-border business advisory firm. She previously served as Vice President at Yahoo! Inc. in the U.S. overseeing joint ventures and began her career at Microsoft Corporation. Currently, Ms. Okumoto serves as a Non-Executive Director at Yappli, Inc. (listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange), and previously served on the boards of S4 Capital plc (listed on the London Stock Exchange) and EdCast (acquired by Cornerstone OnDemand).

He also served in board and advisory positions in a number of other international media groups. Priscilla Han, Audit Committee Chair, is a Tokyo-based partner of venture firm Reapra. Lauren Zalaznick, Compensation Committee Chair, is a veteran U.S. media executive who has served as former Executive Vice President at NBC Universal and on the Board of Nielsen. She is currently also a Senior Advisor at the Boston Consulting Group and Chair of National CineMedia. Jim Wu, who previously served as Global Vice President of International Mergers and Acquisitions at Yahoo! Inc. and is currently Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, will also serve on the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Additionally, the company has appointed Norman Pearlstine, a U.S. media executive who has served as the top editor at the Wall Street Journal, Time Inc. and the Los Angeles Times, and Chief Content Officer of Bloomberg L.P. as a senior advisor.
