According to the third annual research report from ServiceNow and Pearson that will be published in September, agentic AI is set to disrupt millions of jobs, both technical and non-technical, fueling the demand to upskill. In fact, more than 8 million roles are estimated to transform because of agentic AI in the U.S. alone. Additionally, significant tech workforce growth is expected in all surveyed regions by 2030—from 27% in Germany to 36% in the U.S. to 95% in India. Global study highlights the need to invest in tailored, scalable learning tools
New research from ServiceNow and Pearson demonstrates how agentic AI will impact millions of jobs, both technical and non-technical roles. In fact, some of the highest impact roles aren't in IT—they're in functions like payroll, administration, and operations. Among key regions, the United States is expected to see the highest percentage of workforce impact. However, India will feel the largest overall disruption with more than 10 million people impacted by 2030. Regional differences in workforce transformation are driven by different technical and policy environments as well as the number and mix of people and roles in each country. Finally, the report suggests that some workers might need reskilling for new roles while others will need to build AI fluency to stay productive in current roles as companies redesign work for the AI era. Investing in adaptable growth experiences is no longer optional; it's the key to navigating this rapid change and enhancing human potential.
